The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated KAMAZ-master team with one more brilliant, convincing and decent victory in the Dakar Rally 2022. He marked that the highest sports skills, coherent team spirit and unbending faith to the victory brought the sportsmen to the 19th title.
The ceremonial part of honoring KAMAZ-master team – winners of the Dakar Rally 2022 – took place in the Kazan Kremlin today.
“The route of the rally-marathon in the sands of Saudi Arabia was a hard challenge for all contestants of the competition, - marked Rustam Minnikhanov, - However thanks to joint forces of all team members you could show the best result – all first four positions in the truck category were taken by the team from the Tatarstan Republic”.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan also mentioned that KAMAZ was a product of engineering thought, the Tatarstan brand, known all over the world and respected by the motorsport society.
“All of us supported the flagman of the native motorsport and eagerly followed your successes, - shared Rustam Minnikhanov. – You made us used to victories in the Dakar and we did not doubt in your triumph. Professional skills of the crew members, joint actions of the technical staff, tactic support, mutual help and work at the end of tether”.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov KAMAZ-master team is an example for young guys, doing motorsport, bringing fame to motorsport of Tatarstan and Russia on the world scene. He thanked all members of KAMAZ-master team, the plant management for creation of brilliant conditions for achieving set tasks, the republic motorsport federation and the team’s sponsors – for all-round support. Special heartfelt thanks he addressed to fans, family and friends, whose support the sportsmen always felt.
“Your victory in the current difficult conditions is a big reason for joy for all Tatarstan citizens!” – said Rustam Minnikhanov to members of KAMAZ-master team.
Then there was a state award-giving ceremony of the Tatarstan Republic.

In return the sportsmen presented a memorable cup to Rustam Minninkhanov.
