Act of Fair Play

The KAMAZ-master Team was awarded a Special World Fair Play Diploma in the category Act of Fair Play by International Fair Play Committee (CIFP).  People who made the greatest contribution to the promotion of Fair Play principles in sport was invited to the solemn prestigious awards given ceremony which took place on July 19, in Kazan.

Fair Play Award is a kind of code of ethics of sport community and it is awarded to athletes, managers of sports organizations, journalists, fans for their nobility, humanism promotion, high ethics in sport and life, the rejection of all forms of violence against rivals, active charitable activities.

CIFP World Fair Play Association’s President Dr. Jenö Kamuti presented Aydar Belyaev and Ilgizar Mardeev with a Special World Fair Play Diploma. It is universally acknowledged, that the behavior of the KAMAZ-master Team during the final stage of the Dakar-2014 (the team-members helped an overturned Chinese pilot Zhou Yong) is an impressive example of true sportsmanship.

Among the prize winners there were also hockey players Denis Kulash (ice hockey) and Alexander Tyukavin, well-known Paralympians, professional archer and amateur basketball team, boxing veteran from Egypt, as well as the first President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaymiev.

International Fair Play Committee is a non-governmental organization which was established in 1963. Among the initiators and founders of the Committee - The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the World Council of Physical Education and Sports Science (SIEPSS), the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) and the famous French tennis player Jean Borotra (mid XX century).

The Committee is composed of 130 members society (National Olympic Committees, including Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), International sport governing body and other organizations) and individual members. The governing bodies of the Committee - The General Assembly, which is open to all members of the Committee, and the Administrative Council with 30 members.
