The International Winter Games on the border river will be held for 2 days. On February 24, ice hockey players will meet on the ice. Three teams from Russia and China among them are children, teenagers and adults will take part in the games. On the same day, qualifying stages of automobile races will be held and the final race will be on the February 25.
In total, about 120 cars, 60 from each side are planned to take part in the race. Russia will be represented by the automobilists from the Amur region, Khabarovsk region, Naberezhnye Chelny and the Chelyabinsk region. Dmitry Sotnikov and Bogdan Karimov, pilots of the KAMAZ-master team, as well as the world famous champion hockey player Alexey Tereshchenko will be the guests of honor of the Russian –Chinese games.
“Our International sports festival of the boundary river attracts more and more participants and guests, including stars, every year. Such attention is deserved, there are no similar competitions anywhere in the world. Therefore, the residents of Blagoveshchensk and Heihe are especially lucky, they can watch the competitions from the Amur embankments. In addition, the video broadcast will go on a big screen, which we will install near the rotunda on the embankment, and we will organize an interesting festive program there”, announced Governor of the Amur Region.
For those, who will not be able to come to watch the competitions and demonstrations in person, a live broadcast will be organized on Amur Regional TV, on the website and in social networks.
“This is the second time we are taking part in the events in Blagoveshchensk. In 2023, Anton Shibalov’s crew performed here. A terrific warm welcome and a lot of our fans from both the Russian and Chinese sides. So when we were called to come this year, we didn’t think for long. Despite the huge distance from our hometown Naberezhnye Chelny to Blagoveshchensk we will come to please the audience and show a program of synchronized truck races on ice. One of the KAMAZ-master trucks will be driven by Hou Hongning, a multiple participant of the Silk Way rally-marathon, which will emphasize the international level of the event”, said Dmitry Sotnikov, the pilot of the KAMAZ-master team.
