Second stage of the Russian Championship on rally-raids "Zoloto Kagana - 2014" starts in Astrakhan on April 16. "KAMAZ-master" traditionally participates in these competitions. This year the team declared 5 cars.
There are beginners in some of proven crews: E. Nikolaev - E. Yakovlev - A. Israfilov, A. Mardeev – A. Belyaev - D. Svistunov, A. Karginov - A. Mokeev - I. Devyatkin, A. Shibalov - R. Amatych - D. Sotnikov. One more crew of S. Kupriyanov – A. Kupriyanov - A. Tanin will fight on sports "KAMAZ" with gas-diesel engine.
Team leader of "KAMAZ-master" Vladimir Chagin told about the goals and objectives of the team during the April starts: "We consider the rally "Zoloto Kagana" as a good preparation for "Silk Way Rally" and "Dakar". During the race, we have to work out issues related both to crews, and to machines: we will try new candidates for the crews, will continue "Liebherr" engine development. Besides after "Dakar" we carried out works on suspension characteristics improvement. At "Zoloto Kagana" race we will test these modifications. We continue to work with VTB and Gazprom on our joint project of gas-diesel sports "KAMAZ". I am satisfied with the results: we improve the car and, at the same time, skills of the pilot Sergey Kupriyanov are growing. This crew has a lot of fans who are waiting for the start of the sports season to support the guys".
