On 23 June annual general meeting of OJSC KAMAZ shareholders was held in Naberezhnye Chelny. Notwithstanding the packed agenda board of directors of Auto Giant found an opportunity to visit karting centre “KAMAZ-kart”.
The guests met with children’s race team, also the Head of the BOD of KAMAZ PTC, General Director of Rostec corporation Sergey Chemezov, General Director of KAMAZ PTC Sergey Kogogin and other members of the BOD of KAMAZ were presented the development program of the karting centre and children’s motorsport. As a reminder, in 2015 by decision of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, KAMAZ PTC transferred the management of the karting centre to KAMAZ-master Team, and karting in Naberezhnye Chelny gained an impetus. Thanks to the financing from Traffic Safety Foundation of the Republic of Tatarstan full repair of the track was made, special enclosures conforming to the modern standards were installed. KAMAZ PTC supports and finances work of the karting centre.
The team leader of KAMAZ-master Vladimir Chagin told the guests that today more than 70 children attend the karting club, more than half of them form a training group, that honour the city on competitions of different level. In 2016 under the tutelage of KAMAZ-master Team and support of KAMAZ PTC new program gained momentum and was created the children’s karting team KAMAZ-master Junior, that consists of 12 strongest children of the club. Karters showed demonstration races to the guests, and Sergey Chemezov handed commemorated gifts to the young sportsmen and gave a high appraisal of training work and sport results and promised from his side extensive support of young talents and karting movement.
