All-Russian competition for karting amateurs among school students

Creative, active and, of course, athletic! Such guys took part in the All-Russian amateur karting tournament among school students, which took place at the Technocity karting center on August 22.

85 people from 18 regions of the country contested in the competition. All of them are not professional athletes, but amateurs, interested in the technical field. On the eve of the tournament all the guys took part in the training rides: they received theoretical training, learned karting basics and then could work out their driving skills in two sessions, got acquainted with the track and features of its passage.

August 22 was the main day of the competition and started with the grand opening ceremony. Honored guests took part in the official part: Naumova Natalya (the Head of the Department of State Policy for upbringing, additional education and children's recreation), Mokshina Marina (Executive Director of the All-Russian Public and State Children's and Youth Organization "Russian Movement of School students"), Salakhov Farid (the Head of the Executive Committee of Naberezhnye Chelny), Zhanna Khaliullina (Deputy Director General for Human Resources Management, Organization Development and Corporate Governance of KAMAZ PTC), Vladimir Chagin (the Head of KAMAZ-master team) and the pilot Dmitry Sotnikov. They wished the guys good luck, beautiful competition and spectacular victories.

The races started in three groups: among men, women and a special Technocity category for students of schools, sponsored by KAMAZ PTC and ANO "Technocity". The most massive rivalry became in the main category among teenagers. The timed races helped to determine first 18 semi-finalists out of about fifty people, and among them - the fastest 6 contestants for the final. About 25 riders applied for the start of the women's category. Already the day before, the girls showed that they intended not to yield to the boys in anything. As a result, they showed approximately the same lap time.

The top three in each category took places on the podium, and the winners of the first places additionally battled in the superfinal. According to the results of the competition, the winners were awarded cups, medals, diplomas from the organizers and special prizes from the Russian Movement of School Students. 

Sergey Kogogin, General Director of KAMAZ PTC, Naumova Natalya, Director of the Department of State Policy for upbringing, additional education and children's recreation, Marina Mokshina, Executive Director of the All-Russian Public and State Children and Youth Organization "Russian Movement school students”, Vladimir Chagin and Dmitry Sotnikov took part in finishing the competition and the award ceremony.

1st place: Victoria Surkova, Stavropol Territory

2nd place: Valeria Venikova, Kaliningrad region

3rd place: Victoria Kobyakova, Republic of Mari El
