On 6 March President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Privolzhsky Federal District Mikhail Babich met with sportsmen of KAMAZ-master Team and visited a test area near Naberezhnye Chelny.
Guests were met by General Director of PJSC KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin and KAMAZ-master team leader Vladimir Chagin, who demonstrated race vehicles and told about recent Dakar rally.
Babich and Minnikhanov examined the vehicles, including the truck of the current race winner Eduard Nikolaev. Guests also tested possibilities of KAMAZ racing truck. There was a perspective race bonnet truck of the team. Plenipotentiary Envoy went to the track in a cab together with the winner of the Silk Way Rally-2017 Dmitry Sotnikov, and the Tatarstan President was assisted by the winner of rally “Dakar-2018” Eduard Nikolaev.
