Kazan City Racing - 2015 was held in Kazan on August, 30. The colorful event took place under the walls of the Kazan Kremlin on a dedicated track laid along the Millennium Square. This year, the show became the main event within celebration of the Republic Day. Rainy weather did not frighten motor racing fans; the show gathered about 20 thousand viewers in the estimation of organizers. Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the event.
Upon arrival at the main place Rustam Minnikhanov watched exhibition performances of Russian drifters. Mark Shulzhitsky – participant of daily marathon "24 hours of Le Mans" and the three-time European champion in rally-cross Timur Timerzyanov also showed their tricks. This was followed by the performance of Daniil Kvyat – racer of Formula 1 Infiniti Red Bull Racing team, the most successful Russian pilot of "royal races."
But the culmination of motorsport festival was the performance of Ayrat Mardeev, the winner of "Dakar-2015". In addition to the drift, he showed to the enthusiastic audience a spectacular jump from a springboard: the car "flew" over 30 meters!
Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by Director General of "KAMAZ" Sergey Kogogin visited the bivouac of "KAMAZ-master" team. The team brought three sports cars to Kazan. In addition to the car of Ayrat Mardeev crew, the audience could see the car of Andrey Karginov – the winner of "Dakar-2014" and gas-diesel truck of Sergey Kupriyanov, who took the second place on Africa Race 2015. The free access to cars was open for visitors. Everybody could get the cherished autographs of "Dakar" legends. Within the event numerous meetings of sportsmen with partners of the team took place.

"Auto show unique by its program and scale passed in Kazan. Everyone could admire the demo drives and feel the roar of the engines of these real race cars right in the historical center of Kazan. Despite the rain, there were a lot of spectators. It is pleasant to see such interest from the guests of Tatarstan and Kazan. This is another confirmation that the policy of sports support in the republic has excellent results. "
Ayrat Mardeev, the pilot, the winner of Dakar Rally 2015:
"The rain has made some changes, and on a wet track I had to drive with caution, however, the jump was good in terms of height and length. Performance in front of a large audience is always honorable and very responsible moment. Although, our truck is designed for off-road racing, I'm glad that in the center of Kazan, we were able to demonstrate its uniqueness to the audience."
