Trucks of the KAMAZ-master team headed to Europe where on November 30 in the French city Marseille they would be loaded on the ferry with vehicles of contestants to the Arabian Peninsula.
On November 21 a traditional inspection of the team was held in Naberezhnye Chelny. The President of the Tatarstan Republic Rustam Minnikhanov took part in this event. Together with the State Duma Deputy Alfia Kogogina, the General Director of KAMAZ PTC Sergey Kogogin, the General Director of PJSC Tatneft Nail Maganov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Gazprom Vitaly Markelov, the General Director of "Ak Bars" Holding company OJSC Ivan Egorov, the Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Nail Magdeev the Head of the Republic took part in the farewell of KAMAZ-master team to the Dakar 2022.
The head of the team Vladimir Chagin told the guests about preparation of the racers to the main start of the season.
The Tatarstan President was shown vehicles fighting for victory in the Dakar 2022. KAMAZ-master team applied 4 racing trucks. Two of them are familiar for fans KAMAZ-43509 and two other are new KAMAZ-435091 of K5 family.
Getting acquainted with the new technical solutions and improvements of separate units and aggregates of the truck, Rustam Minnikhanov personally tried the new racing bolid of K5 family on the team’s training field.
The 44th Dakar will start in Ha’il on January 2 and will finish in Jeddah on January 14, the rest day is planned for January 8 in Riyadh. Administrative checks and scrutineering will be held on December 30,31 and January, 1. The start podium and the race prologue will be held on January 1.
