Since 1993, in the British town of Goodwood under the patronage of Lord March, the tenth Duke of Richmond, the Festival of Speed is held. The event is not a part of the calendar of FIA, or of the list of OICA official dealers. However, each year 190 thousand spectators gather there. They are attracted by the opportunity to see vintage cars and motorcycles, the presentation of new models, fifty branded expositions from Mini to Rolls Royce and representatives of the best teams of motorsport on military equipment.
"KAMAZ-master" team perceived literally the invitation received from Lord March to come to the festival in Goodwood. Therefore, sports truck KAMAZ-4326 travelled from Russia to the UK under its own power. The winner of the rally "Zoloto Kagana 2015" Dmitry Sotnikov was already waiting for it there.
"It was a very long way for our 10-ton KAMAZ-4326. The route passed through Finland, Germany, France, and then by ferry to the UK. Wherever the truck stopped, people were asked to take pictures and get behind the wheel. "KAMAZ-master" is very popular in Russia. Slightly less in Europe, but everywhere people were glad to see our car "- Dmitry said.
Sports truck has no berths and air conditioner, so the trip is hardly can be called as comfortable for the crew. But it can be called successful: KAMAZ-4326 caused a furor among the audience in Goodwood. Huge powerful truck, capable to accelerate to 100 km / h in 10 seconds, was the highlight of the Festival of Speed.
"It was difficult to drive the truck on a narrow route, but the speed and clouds of smoke gave energy to the show, so the audience was delighted", - the driver of "KAMAZ-master" summed up the performance.
