July 20, Bonn. On 19-20 July 2014, the representatives of the KAMAZ-master Team visited the Truck Grand Prix in Nürburg, Germany at the invitation of their partners from the company Castrol. This rally on the world famous race track Nürburgring stands in the calendar of the European Truck Racing Championship: German stage is the most popular among athletes and fans. At no other event on the calendar do they have to host so many sponsors and guests. This year this race hosted 160,000 spectators who came to see 1100 hp trucks. It was prepared an extensive entertainment program in addition to the race of sport trucks. As part of the event it was organized a parade of trucks-participants in the rally-marathon Dakar. The fans could see not only race KAMAZ, but also MAN, Tatra, Ginaf. Naturally, the meeting of the Dakar participants was friendly – they usually have something to talk.
Despite the fact that the popularity of Truck Racing in Europe is close to the popularity of Formula 1, the situation is more democratic here. For example, you can freely enter the paddock and communicate with pilots. KAMAZ was cordially received by the reigning champion Jochen Hahn. Team-manager of the KAMAZ-master Team, Vladimir Chagin noted that he met very congenial people there. "I am confident that cooperation between the teams of the Truck Racing and Rally-raids will grow, especially as the teams on trucks have the same partners and suppliers. I am grateful to the company Castrol for organizing this trip, I’m confident that it will be useful for further work of our pilots and engineers".
