We thought we had a hard day yesterday… We were mistaken again! The race stated quite well. At the beginning of the special the crews passed dunes together and successfully, though a number of cars fell into sandy traps. There were first warning lights flashing when Anton Shibalov stuck on a dune in wet sand. We had hardly unwound a pull rope when a buggy of MD Rally team jumped out of the dune and landed on the roof. We gave the crew a hand and righted the overturned vehicle, then coped with Shibalov’s issue. But we didn’t notice a sidewall cut of a rear wheel on Kuprianov’s truck. It played a low-down trick. When sands started again, the tire punctured at the most inappropriate moment. We were in the bottom of a sandy hole…Two crews tried to dig it out and raise in order to change the wheel…The loss is huge… Luckily our previous results allowed us to keep our positions in the overall rankings among trucks. Two more unpredictable stages are in front of us!
